Resumption of Normal Operations at the Veleslavín Campus from Monday, 19 October
From Monday, 19 October, the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport of Charles University campus at Veleslavín will resume normal operations, and classes will take place according to the regular timetable.
Over the weekend, almost all systems and technologies affected by the incident and the subsequent power outage have been restored. Given the extent of the technical work carried out, minor operational restrictions or isolated faults may still occur during the first few days, including issues that could not be identified in advance while gradually restoring the campus facilities.
The heating system is operational, although adjustments to its controls and regulation may still be ongoing in some parts of the campus. Temporary restrictions may also affect certain other systems, such as the automatic vehicle licence plate recognition system at the campus entrance.
The cafeteria will remain closed on Monday, 19 October. Food supplies will be replenished on Monday, and the necessary hygiene checks will be carried out before catering services resume. The cafeteria will return to normal operations on Tuesday, 20 October. The DODO bistro will operate as usual.
We ask for your patience and, above all, for your help in reporting any problems so that we can address them as quickly as possible:
- Operational and technical issues: provoz@ftvs.cuni.cz
- IT issues: helpdesk@ftvs.cuni.cz
If you notice any abnormal behaviour of electrical equipment or appliances, particularly if they remained connected to the electricity supply during the incident, please stop using them and report the issue to us.
Thank you for your patience, understanding and cooperation over the past few days.
