The electricity supply to the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport of Charles University campus in Veleslavín has been restored, and the various parts of the campus are gradually being brought back into operation. Technical work and inspections of related systems are continuing over the weekend.

Throughout Saturday and Sunday, work is underway to restore and check the IT infrastructure, servers, telephony, fire alarm and security signalling systems, access control system, and building management systems, including heating and hot water supply.

We expect normal campus operations to resume on Monday, 19 October, and classes should take place according to the regular schedule. In the meantime, the remaining systems need to be restored and checked, and workplaces prepared for normal operations.

The campus will gradually become accessible from Sunday, 18 October, although operations will initially remain restricted. Sunday will be used primarily to inspect workplaces and other areas and prepare them for Monday's operations. Some systems and services may therefore not yet be fully functional.

When first entering their workplaces, staff are asked to carry out a basic visual inspection of electrical appliances and equipment, particularly those that were not switched off or disconnected from the electricity supply during the incident.

If an appliance or piece of equipment shows signs of damage, emits an unusual smell, becomes excessively hot, shows signs of an electrical short circuit, or exhibits any other abnormal behaviour, do not switch it on or continue using it. Please report the issue to provoz@ftvs.cuni.cz.

Although power has been restored to the individual parts of the campus, given the extent of the reconnection work carried out in response to the incident, it cannot be ruled out that an individual area or electrical circuit may still be without power. If you encounter such a situation, please inform us without delay at provoz@ftvs.cuni.cz. These cases will be given priority.

Do not carry out any work or make any modifications to fixed electrical installations, distribution boards, or other building technical equipment yourself.

We are working intensively to restore all systems fully. If anything occurs on Sunday that could affect Monday's classes or campus operations, we will inform you without delay.
