Jan Carboch, a lecturer at the Department of Sports Games and a successful competition pilot, achieved a remarkable feat when he and his colleague Michal Vorlíček - the 2024 Czech Republic champion in glider aerobatics in the Intermediate category, performed a fantastic aerobatic display that was officially entered into the Guinness Book of World Records.

After a verification and validation process lasting several months, their achievement - 62 consecutive in-flight loops in a glider, was officially confirmed as a world record. The record-breaking flight took place on October 3, 2025, at the Kolín Airport, and the crew used a two-seat Schleicher ASK-21 glider. However, it was not officially registered until February 10, 2026. The time lag between the flight itself and the publication of the result is due to the strict requirements of the Guinness World Records (GWR), which include detailed documentation, video recordings, and witness confirmations.

Both pilots work as aerobatics instructors at the Kolín Aeroclub, where they focus on training new pilots and promoting non-powered aerobatics. Jan Carboch is not only a successful competition pilot (among his most notable achievements is a 3rd-place finish at the Czech Republic Aerobatics Championship in the Intermediate category in 2024), but also an excellent university instructor. In his professional work at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport, he specializes in visual perception and anticipation in sports games and the analysis of tennis performance.
