From June 22 to 25, 2026, our faculty will be participating in the Academic Village programme as part of the Children and Youth Olympics currently taking place in Prague. Visitors can meet us every day from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. (on Thursday until 6 p.m.) at the Prague Exhibition Grounds in Holešovice.

Together with Prague’s universities - the Czech Technical University, the Czech University of Life Sciences, the University of Chemistry and Technology, the University of Economics, and Charles University - we are offering a diverse programme focused on education, sustainability, technology, and innovation, as well as sports and a healthy lifestyle. The event features hands-on demonstrations, workshops, competitions, and interactive activities for visitors of all ages.

The programme changes daily. The highlights include the eForce student formula cars, soldering demonstrations, interactive aircraft navigation through a maze, sensory food analysis, presentations by rescue workers and biomedical teams, the CULS Farmers hockey team, the laser run, and an interactive hydraulic model of a whitewater course.

Throughout the event, there will also be stations for measuring physical fitness, where participants can test their grip strength, take the sit-and-reach test, test their hanging endurance, or run while carrying military-style gear. There will also be trivia contests, the chance to blend your own tea blend, and the opportunity to take a photo at a themed photo wall featuring sports equipment.

The Children and Youth Olympics is a national competition among regional teams for young athletes aged 12 to 16. This year’s event is being hosted by Prague, where nearly 4,500 athletes are competing in 23 sports and 101 disciplines across 27 venues. The Holešovice Exhibition Grounds serve as the centre of the Olympic Village, the venue for opening and closing ceremonies, and the site of several competitions, including judo, karate, fencing, archery, table tennis, artistic gymnastics, and trampoline.
