About Us

Charles University, Faculty of Physical Education and Sport became the first public university in the Czech Republic to establish an Esport Centre, connecting the worlds of gaming, physical activity, and education.

Our goal is to show that gaming and physical activity can be related. We help players develop not only their gaming skills but also their physical fitness, teamwork, and a healthy approach to gaming.

We bridge the gap between the gaming world and real-life experiences by organizing competitions, public events, courses, and workshops that encourage physical activity and responsible gaming. We believe that players of all ages can find a balance between gaming and an active lifestyle.

Our activities are designed for gamers, students, schools, families, companies, and the elderly. We are building a safe and friendly environment where people with shared interests - playing, staying active, and personal growth, can come together.

Scope of the Centre

Gaming and Movement (GSPORT)

We combine gaming and sports challenges.
We organize esports competitions for schools, the general public, and companies (e.g., Comic-Con GSPORT Cup).
We offer gaming-inspired physical activities that develop fitness, reflexes, and teamwork.

Education and Courses

courses for players, coaches, educators, and the general public,
education on healthy gaming, risk prevention, and the development of gaming skills.

Activities for Schools and the Public

workshops and programmes of experience for students, teachers, and the elderly,
programmes for schools that combine the gaming world with physical activity and skill development,
events for partners and communities (e.g., cities, libraries, leisure centres).
