Academic Calendar
During Your Studies
The Academic Calendar outlines the key dates and deadlines for the academic year. It helps you plan your studies by providing important information about the schedule of the academic year, including semester dates, teaching and examination periods, course enrolment, State final examinations, graduation ceremonies, and university holidays.
The academic year is divided into two semesters: winter and summer. Each semester includes:
- a teaching period,
- an examination period, and
- holiday periods.
The Academic Calendar also specifies important deadlines and dates related to your studies, including:
course enrolment periods
registration deadlines for State final examinations
dates of State final examinations, and
graduation ceremony dates
The Academic Calendar is approved by the Rector of Charles University and published in the Rector's Directives.
