Information on the State Final Examination

Final Thesis

The State Final Examination (SZZK) marks the official completion of studies and consists of two parts: the defence of a bachelor’s or master’s thesis and subject-specific exams. Individual subject exams may be written, oral, or a combination of both; the thesis defence is always oral.

SZZK exams at Charles University, Faculty of Physical Education and Sport are held three times a year. The SZZK dates are listed in the Academic Year Schedule and are designated as spring, fall, and winter. For each SZZK date, the deadline by which a student must fulfill certain requirements or take specific steps to register is always specified. Registration for the SZZK takes place according to the Academic Year Schedule in SIS (Student Information System).

During the registration period for a given date, students may both register and withdraw. If, after the registration deadline has passed, a situation arises where a student cannot participate in the SZZK for serious reasons (particularly health-related), it is always necessary to notify the Student Affairs Office in advance.

You can find the subject areas based on a study program in SIS.
