Department of Sports Games
The Department of Sports Games (KSH) consists of the Team Sports Division and the Sports Training Division. It provides instruction in both theoretical and practical courses at the bachelor’s and master’s levels and collaborates closely with the Centre for Lifelong Learning. KSH also carries out creative and scholarly activities in accordance with the relevant regulations of Charles University and the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport.
Department´s focus:
teaching and development of the didactics of team sports in school physical education and sports training,
The Department systematically profiles students into the role of experts in the general level of sports training and teaching sports games both within the school TV and in the field of organized sports and other recreational activities. Graduates acquire professional knowledge on how to plan, design, organize and evaluate teaching programs taking into account possible age, performance and social differences. Graduates of the sports specialization have the opportunity to further develop their knowledge and experience through long-term coaching in sports clubs.
